This site was set up to promote events during Birmingham's Black History Month celebrations, but as we know Black History happens all year round and will be a resource for edutainment for all.

So visit us often to find out more about Birmingham's Black past, which has contributed to Birmingham's present and future.

The richness of the online events listings represents what the current generation is doing to promote this culturally diverse city.

The promotion of Black History Month in Birmingham is in recognition of the vital continuing contribution of the City's minority ethnic communities.

Black History is important to Birmingham because of the significant contribution made by Black people to the socio-economic and political foundation of this city and as an Afrikan saying goes: "A people without a history are like a tree without roots".

The contents of all programmed events are the responsibility of the respective organisers. All information on this site is given in good faith on that basis.
